Bar Tartine serves one of the best brunches in SF. They create unique menu items using seasonal ingredients featuring their rustic bread made at their very own bakery on 18th street. Even though you will not find your standard hashbrowns and french toast, Bar Tartine will certainly fulfill your craving for a hearty brunch.
Dinner reservations are hard to score, but an early walk-in brunch (11am is early for SF standards) is doable with for a small party of two. Here is what we shared:
Persimmon bread pudding a la mode
Smorgasbord of sprouts, pan-fried summer squash and avocado
Open-faced sandwich with egg, avocado, radish and fennel
