Hillside Supper Club: Brunch

I found my new favorite brunch spot. Within walking distance from my house, even if you do not live in Bernal Heights, Hillside Supper Club is well worth visiting. It is also pleasantly uncrowded; it is nice to be able to hear the person you are dining with for a change. A common San Francisco tale, what started as a pop-up has turned into a “permanent” establishment. The menu here changes with the seasons which keeps everything tasting super fresh and encourages experimentation with ingredients. We kept our brunch order to two dishes:

Butternut Squash Hash with sautéed kale, scrambled egg, roasted potato, and smoked chili

Anson Mills Polenta and grilled toast with eggs, housemade fennel sausage, pecorino, and gremolata
