When I think of gastropubs, I think of decent drinks that accompany greasy finger foods. Myriad aims to redefine this reputation with their fresh, globally-inspired menu. This relaxing neighborhood spot offers surprisingly tasty bites with distinct beverage pairings. Genuinely surprised by the taste and quality of the food, I even forgot that I was in a bar tucked in the Mission District. While everything was exceptional, the pappardelle with pork cheeks, peas, kale, brown beech mushrooms, tarragon, and pecorino stole the spot light. I'm convinced that nothing pairs better with pappardelle pasta than mushrooms bursting with umami flavor. I'm so glad to have found this neighborhood gem!
